Since 1969, our sensors have unlocked countless scientific discoveries from over 250 instruments. Teledyne’s CCD’s can be found exploring the deep expanses of space with the Hubble Space Telescope, imaging the sun from solar observatories, wandering over Mars in rovers, and tracking the environment with the Copernicus Earth observation Sentinel satellites.  

We have 50+ years of experience partnering with long-established leaders in space exploration including NASA, ESA, JAXA and CNSA to deliver optimized sensors and imaging systems. With in-house sensor design, manufacture, assembly and testing, all Teledyne devices can be supplied partially or fully customized to fit the application and achieve the best possible system performance. 


Red/NIR sensitivity dominated by silicon active thickness. This is due to absorption length increasing with wavelength.
